Except for the fact that not only was he the only doctor in Texas who would deliver mixed race babies, black and white doctors included in that, he’s also the only candidate, including the black one in the White House right now, that wants to end the Drug War which is the systemic racism in the US right now.  He also is the only candidate, including the black one in the White House right now, that doesn’t believe in the TSA profiling Muslims as terrorists.

He didn’t write the damn newsletters, they are not his words, he didn’t even know they had been published.  As a “person of color”, you should know how harmful it can be when people use your name in negative ways.  You should know that people say vicious and untrue things about you that have no reflection upon your character.

2) You’ve got a lot of fucking nerve to tell me what I should know as a person of color.  Racist shit about people of color is more than just gossip some asshole spouts on the internet, it’s systematic.  So do not fucking compare that to Ron Paul’s ignorant ass.

3) Sorta concerned that you can’t seem to find or come across the racist bullshit of the candidate you support but off the top of my head I know he voted against MLK holiday more than once, opposes the civil rights act and thinks it causes more racism, THE NEWSLETTERS BEAUSE THAT SHIT COUNTS SORRY IF IT MAKES YOU SORE, and he’s said some pretty deplorable things about immigration as well.  Not to mention his constant evocation of “state’s rights” (which has historically divisive sentiment), the fact that racist knuckle draggers like stormfront support his ass, and the multitude of shit that he supports which are in direct opposition of a woman’s right to choose and the rights of other marginalized people?  

I can go on but I am not going to research your goddamn candidate for you.

Reality bites, sorry~

1. He wasn’t involved in the publishing of the newsletters.  He was out of Congress, not in contact with those who were in his staff previously, and practicing medicine in Texas when they were written.  You try being an OBGYN and keeping tabs on things other people do.  Then come talk to me.

2. I will tell you exactly what I want to tell you.  I don’t give a flying fuck about your skin color.  At all.  If you want to bring it into the argument, that’s your choice, and it then becomes fair game.  I wasn’t going to say anything, but fine.  I’ll say it.  You only support Obama because he’s black.

3. He voted against the MLK holiday AND President’s Day because it wastes federal government money.  But you forgot about President’s Day, didn’t you?  He CONDEMNED the Civil Rights Act, which was voted on in 1964 before he was in Congress, because it takes away property rights.  And he fully supported the sections that repealed the Jim Crow laws.  I don’t need you to research my candidate, seeing as I already have and just destroyed your arguments against him.  

4. Believing that states should have the right to make their own decisions is actually a great pull for the people in that state.  The fewer constituents each representative is accountable to makes it a lot easier for them to feel the will of the people, as opposed to the huge number each Congressman and Senator represents.  So, actually, having the states holding more power makes YOUR will more enforceable.  But, hey, if you don’t want that, then let’s have the federal government regulate ALL the things!

5. He doesn’t want the federal government regulating abortion.  He believes there is no place for the federal government in the abortion debate.

You can’t go on and on because there is nothing else to say.  Ron Paul is an individualist, which means he focuses on the INDIVIDUAL, not the race or economic class they belong to.
