What I wrote about the Holocaust was good and needed to be said. I wasn’t saying that the Jews suffered less or that they don’t deserve the attention they get for their suffering. If I was trying to say that then I would have. What I was trying to say, and this should be painfully obvious since this is exactly what I wrote in the post, was that there were other people who suffered just as much as the Jews who need to have some kind of voice when the topic is brought up. And when I say that they suffered just as much, I mean they suffered just as much. Gay men and women, transexuals, the disabled and mentally handicapped, and the Romani went through just as much as the Jews did and so deserve just as much attention as the Jews get. They don’t deserve to be thrown aside and not talked about in history classes because of their sexual orientation or because their death count was not as high as the Jewish death count. They were still murdered, they were still tortured, and they were still discriminated against. Don’t even bother to reblog my posts if all you’re going to do is nitpick.
