Anne Elliot and I are very similar. I can’t tell if this happens because Jane Austen creates very universal characters or if I really do relate to each and everyone of her protagonists. I can’t imagine it being the former; her characters, large and small, are always very detailed and full of depth. In fact, her characters are what make me love her novels. They are so well-crafted and very thought out. Each of her characters are as real to me as anybody I’ve ever met in my life. So yes, I do think I am just very similar to Austen’s protagonists. I am actually almost exactly alike quite a few. I wonder if this means I am at all similar to Jane Austen herself. I think I’d quite like that actually.
